Olivem is a PEG-free non-ionic oil-in-water emulsifier developed from natural olive chemistry. It is an emulsifier and thickener which is compatible with a wide variety of cosmetic and active ingredients over a wide pH range (3 to 12). Safe and clinically tested to be hypoallergenic, it provides creams with an excellent spreadability with no soapy effect.

1. Form a liquid crystal structure with long-lasting moisture retention:
Olivem can form a liquid crystal structure inside the emulsion. Olivem is oriented in the two-phase decomposition surface. The structure after micellization in water is a typical structure of layered liquid crystals. The double-layer micelles will produce a multi-layer structure. The layered structure swells with water at the interface, forming a thicker layer phase of about 20 nm between the two oil phases. The emulsion can significantly reduce the loss of water through the skin, thereby giving the emulsion long-term and short-term moisturizing functions.
2. Highly moisturizing
Studies have shown that the net structure of liquid crystal improves the short-term and long-term moisture retention of the skin, because the total amount of moisture contained in this structure can approach 70%, and all the moisture spreads in the cream, and the net structure breaks It will be released immediately and absorbed by the skin.
